My Two Cents

A blog could be a good forum for library staff to share ideas and information. I like how McMaster University has set up separate categories for their blog and maintains an organized archive. I think staff will be more likely to use a blog if they understand more clearly how they might use it - http://ulatmac.wordpress.com/
There is a Sheridan Libraries Blog as well and it is set up in a similar way -
http://blogs.library.jhu.edu/wordpress/
This Sheridan Library is at John Hopkins University.
Maybe at some point we'll decide to use a blog to communicate Library News to the College community. The John Hopkins University Sheridan Library Blog has portions available as an RSS feed.
Thank you Johnathan for getting us set up with a blog. Hope you're feeling better now.

Research Workshop - Oct.23, 2007

That's where I am today. I'm reviewing some interesting potential projects @ Sheridan about how using knowledge support (aka library) services affects student outcomes at school and in their later life. Stay tuned - I'll bring this back to the next staff meeting.

Curious

As a member of the general public, why do I have access to this?
Just testing...

Congratulations on creating Sheridan Library Services first staff Blog

And all in one day, Johnathan!
This will be an excellent tool for trying out ideas, a scrap pad for new service ideas and our first real knowledge sharing tool. A model for Student Services and maybe Sheridan as a whole.

Starting off

Well, this is my first blog post ever. At this moment I'm feeling a little worn out as I'm just getting over the flu but over all I feel pretty good. Please feel free to join in this little revolution and post your thoughts. As the title suggests, it doesn't have to be anymore than how's your day going.
